American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine

The American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M) is a non-profit entity that holds two annual World Congresses, each of which hosts 3,000 to 5,000 physicians and healthcare practitioners. A4M spearheads a Spring Congress in Florida each year, and a Winter Congress in Las Vegas every December. This winter will mark our 27th Annual World Congress.

In addition to the healthcare professionals and practitioners that attend, the A4M also hosts a 60,000-square-foot exhibit hall, in which over 600 exhibitors, companies, and A4M sponsors receive the opportunity to network extensively with the thousands of attendees.

This spurs collaboration and cooperation with technologies, laboratory services, medical devices, and a host of other products that can provide practitioners with multiple ways to best optimize their respective practices.

Moreover, A4M provides a general session coupled with multiple educational tracks in order to keep its attendees informed of the latest and most advanced therapies, protocols, and topics in the

medical and healthcare spheres. Aside from these tracks A4M also provides educational workshops, certifications and fellowships in Aesthetics medicine along with specialty symposia focusing on various topics throughout the year at various venues. The A4M does not focus on traditional, general medical education, but rather on the advancements of preventative and anti-aging medicine, which entails and encompasses multiple terms: integrative medicine, preventive medicine, functional medicine, nutritional medicine, regenerative medicine.

The primary reason for A4M’s success is due to the quality of its education. This is what MMI is instrumental in providing.

Metabolic Medical Institute

Metabolic Medical Institute (MMI) was founded in 2014 as the branch of A4M that houses and contains all of the advanced medical education available to practitioners and allied health professionals.

MMI offers education that ranges from Certifications in brain fitness and nutrition to sports management and addiction, in addition to Fellowship Programs in Metabolic and Nutritional Medicine, Integrative Medicine, Aesthetics, Integrative Cancer, and Stem Cell Therapies.

The Fellowship education is further supported by the medical school program at George Washington University, which has granted credit towards the MMI curriculum for Master’s Degree Programs.

The partnership between MMI and GWU provides a Master of Science in Health Sciences degree in Integrative Medicine.

The infrastructure of MMI is multi-layered and constantly changing: multiple layers and levels of faculty, directors, advisors, and lecturers provide feedback and revisions of program content to ensure that every course and module, whether live or online, has the most up-to-date information and protocols. Beyond CME guidelines and requirements, we have continuously revised our curriculum since its initial launch, and are proud to provide our audience with a consistent process of creating the most current content available.

A little history…

A4M is a nonprofit organization, established in 1992 by Founding Doctors Ronald Klatz and Robert Goldman.

A4M has been the driving force in many ‘firsts.’ Before the term “anti-aging” was known or popularized, A4M was providing practitioners a place in which to learn more about making concrete, tangible differences in modern medicine.

For years, A4M has paved the way for health care practitioners and providers to be leaders, and to transition from practicing a broken model of medicine to a form of healthcare that focuses on the patient holistically—rather than a cluster of organs or symptoms. For 25 years, A4M has worked to break down the walls and hurdles that healthcare professionals have faced: whether it be widespread physician burnout, managed care rules, insurance constraints, or medical reimbursement cuts and government regulations.

A4M’s consistent and unwavering goal has been to educate healthcare practitioners and the public, in order to effectively advance technology that can detect, prevent, and ultimately treat all aging-related diseases while optimizing the human aging process. A4M has acquired a membership of over 26,000 members, which includes physicians, nurses, scientists, researchers, governmental officials, and members of the general public that represent over 120 nations. The organization works with multiple international partners, and MMI’s educational programs are available worldwide, with specific alliances in South Africa, Australia, Europe, Thailand, China, the Middle East, and Indonesia. A4M is continuing to rapidly grow in scope and size, and hopes to gain further momentum to reach its goals with the help of MMI’s education: to heal patients, and help physicians practice a better, more comprehensive form of medicine.
